September 6, 2000 was the day I was born. My name is Veronica Hernandez Lopez a 17 year old who comes from a family of nine. I have three sisters and four brothers. I was also blessed with the most amazing parents in this world, the most hard working, loving, caring, and supporting parents that anyone can ask for. They have proven to me that everything is possible even though we aren’t rich or poor. Fifteen years ago, my six siblings and I crossed the border, my mother carried me for five days, as we got to the United States. I was just one year old when arrived to the United States. I am one out of the 11 million undocumented immigrants and 800,000 DACA recipients who's reasons of coming to the a new country is to look for better opportunities in life and education. I consider myself as an easy outgoing person that can make friends with anyone. On my free time I love spending time with my family, friends and playing with my dogs. The goals I have set for myself will be achieved when I attend a 4 year University, to aim for my Masters Degree. I will continue with my education and get my Teaching Credential so I can become a Special Education Teacher. I currently work at Starts After School Program as a 3rd grade tutor, I feel like this is a great way for me to get prepare in the future. I also want to major in filming and photography and having it as a side job. I will be accomplishing all my goals little by little. My accomplishments are not all mine but for my family since everything I do is to make them proud of me, and to prove everyone who doubted me wrong. I also want to be a great example for my siblings and everyone else who has a dream; go and accomplish it and don't let anything get in your way and if by any moment you need a reason to move forward but don't have the strength to do so, picture yourself in the future saying "They told me I couldn't so I did".
